Hello, I was in Wingles at the weekend for the Ladies' European Championship final. Everything was very well organised and the riders and team leaders were satisfied. The weather was OK, a little drizzle on Sunday morning, but the track was perfect.

With top results in the daily rankings, the girls from Team Orange were always among the front runners. This was also true for Marselina Mertens, who scored good points for the team with her converted 100cc machine. This also made her the best 2-stroke rider of the IMBA season.

Belgian rider Toke Tops competed in both events on an 85cc machine and was able to hold her own against the girls with the heavy machines. She was delighted to win the trophy for the best 85cc rider.

The girls performed very well in the three races. European Championship leader Steffi Laier always took the lead and proved herself to be a true champion in front of the audience. Unfortunately, some of the ladies stayed at home, some due to injury, but some perhaps also because they saw no chance of beating the strong competition.

Our thanks go to Jean Claude Sable and Noel Delhuille, who, together with their entire team, had the race well under control, including the schedule and everything else.

I would also like to thank the entire team for their commitment to this event, the club and its many helpers.
